He has been Mayor of Eshowe, and is a Rotarian (past Rotary President), a businessman, paratrooper, former Duzi Canoe Race winner, Brewmaster, farmer and retired sportsman. He is actively involved in community projects such as ECAG classroom project, Cunina Zulu Trust orphanage, Yebo Initaven for handicapped children and many more.
