At the foot of the legendary Ghost Mountain lies the privately owned 4 Star Ghost Mountain Inn, a perfect setting for taking time out to relax and experience the charms of Africa in comfort and style.

Unwind by the pool or indulge your senses with a skin or body treatment in our Spa.

For the more adventurous our Safari company offers a variety of guided tours to explore this diverse region with a variety of game drives, birding walks, hikes, tiger fishing, boat rides and Zulu cultural trips.

Relax in one of our 52 tastefully appointed, en suite bedrooms complete with television, telephone and air conditioning or take in the golden African sunset from your very own garden patio.

The Inn provides good food and friendly service either in the air conditioned restaurant or on the terrace overlooking the expansive grounds and swimming pool. Also two pubs, Tshaneni and Mtwazi, the original pub from when the Inn was built in 1962. Our Health Spa offers skin and body treatments, an indoor gym and a steam room.

We cater for meetings and conferences with programmes tailor-made to suit many events. For intimate Weddings, our lush garden sets the perfect country scene.

Situated in picturesque Northern Zululand near the historical and legendary Ghost Mountain, the Inn prides itself on personal service, a home away from home.

Ghost Mountain Inn is central to several game and coastal reserves and is an ideal base to explore the cultural and ecological wonders of Maputaland, either as a self-drive or with our guided tours.

Accommodation

The Ghost Mountain Inn offers 50 guest rooms, including a large Suite, 26 Executive Rooms and 23 Standard rooms. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, television, telephone, air conditioning, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities.

Furnished patios offer guests a peaceful place to sit and enjoy the surrounding nature. Each guest room has been tastefully decorated to give a residential feel with a touch of Africa.

executive suite

Our spacious Suite offers great comfort and privacy. It features a large bedroom with an extra length king size bed and a comfortable down duvet. Both the bedroom and separate dressing area have large retractable doors to maximise the view of the Lebombo Mountains.

The luxurious bathroom with a freestanding bath leads out into a private garden with an outside shower, while the living area has a separate guest bathroom.

executive rooms

Recently added, the Executive Rooms have been designed to maximise comfort with carefully selected fabrics, furnishings and linen. All rooms look out over the rolling lawns and stretch of water that runs in front of the hotel towards the soaring Lebombo Mountains and Ghost Mountain.

Well lit bathrooms have separate bath and shower. For business guests the desks are large to allow more workspace. All rooms have twin beds however these can be combined into a double bed should you so request. There are a variety of Executive Rooms including 7 larger family rooms with sofa beds for children.

The original rooms of the hotel provide comfortable accommodation with private patios that face either parts of the garden or pool area. Bathrooms feature combined shower and bath.
