These mountains are located in the Monks Cowl Reserve that forms part of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage Site. At Harrismith take N5 towards Kestell/Bethlehem. Go 4km and turn left onto R74 towards Bergville/Qwa Qwa (Alternative Route to Durban) Take next left turn (8km) on R74 to Bergville via Sterkfontein Dam and Oliviershoek Pass. Go through Bergville and continue 20km on R74 to Winterton At Winterton turn right at Engen Garage onto R600 to Central Berg (go over the level crossing) Go 24km on R600 towards Champagne Castle Hotel Turn left onto D19 and follow signs for 1km to Mountain Splendour FROM DURBAN Take N3 North to EXIT 179 (Estcourt North/Central Drakensberg) Turn left and go 28km through Loskop and past Injusuti turn off Turn left at R600 to Central Drakensberg Go 12km towards Champagne Castle Turn left onto D19 and travel 1 km to Mountain Splendour
