Conveniently situated 2 km from Michaelhouse, and in the heart of the Midlands Meander, it is the perfect stepping stone to explore the picturesque KwaZulu Natal Midlands. Glen Arum's 450acres of farmland and indigenous bush providing walking, bird watching, trout fishing a tennis court and swimming pool. Golf and horse riding are also available by arrangement. Each cottage has a log fire and scenic views. AccommodationGlen Arum Farm has three cosy self-contained cottages. All Cottages are completely furnished and fully equipped. They have log fires, braai facilities, microwave, fridge/freezer, hot plates. All crockery, cutlery and linen is provided The Balgowan Valley is blessed with a wonderful climate but be warned that it can get quite cold in the winter so be advised to bring a warm jersey. All cottages have roaring log fires, electric blankets, heaters and extra blankets are also available. The big cottage is the furthest from the house and has a separate entrance and is the most private. The other 2 cottages are closer to the farm house and are more secure, a remote control is provided with the keys for the electric gate. All cottages have magnificent views over farm's rolling hills and indigenous bush. The Big cottage looks over the pastures up on to the hill and both the other cottages look over the dam up on to the hill. Not So Little Cottage sleeps 4 people DirectionsEither: Take the N3 and exit at Mooi River Toll Plaza. Take the R103 to Rosetta, then Nottingham Road, and on to Balgowan. Just past the right hand turn to Michaelhouse School, you will see a gravel road turn to the left. Take this gravel road and travel for +/- 2km. Glen Arum is on your left. Or: Take the Balgowan/Curry's Post off ramp, and travel 4km along a good gravel road towards Balgowan. Turn right at the T junction. We are on the right. |
